A race to the finish line to get all projects completed for Friday is underway as I prepare to finish my school placement in the lovely James Street C.B.S.
First years experimented with their weaves adding their unique twists to their designs. Use of textures such as foil, mesh and garden findings added personality to their work. Students were introduced to weaves from 'around the world' helping students to make real life connections with what they were making.
This week the Transition years were busy finishing their beautiful mosaic design. The final layer of grout was applied to the design on Friday. The students worked so hard on this project and have created a piece that will hang in a place of pride, at the entrance of the school and will stay there for years to come!
Fifth years were brought to the RHA Gallery to witness Brian Eno's interactive exhibition. Eno, famous for his music production, created a space that not only involved sound but exciting visuals in an atmospheric setting. The students were transported to an unconventional space full of lights and sounds.
