Weaving
Laura graduated from the National College of Art and Design in 2015 with a BA Hons Degree in Textile Design.
In 2018 Laura took part in a one-to-one weaving technician course at Ballytoughey Loom on the secluded island of Clare Island with well-known weave artist Beth Moran.

The course gave Laura an opportunity to explore deeper into the setting up process of weaving and the preparation needed to visualise a project. Laura worked with natural dyes using different plants and foods to dye yarns and fabrics. Laura created several weaves on a professional loom and shadowed Beth as she created weaves in her prestigious studio and workshop.
As an artist, Laura combines all of her experience in textiles to produce contemporary woven pieces, usually made on handmade frames, while experimenting with chunky and alternative yarns.
